Central Park Bird Report 4/16-4/22

Common Loon continued on Reservoir through Wednesday
Red-Necked Grebe continues on Reservoir
WILD TURKEY seen in various spots in Central Park since Thursday.
Red-Headed Woodpecker still at The Dene.
Belted Kingfisher at Oven/Point/Riviera on Friday and today
Wood Thrush (early) roaming around Ramble today
ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER around Point and Upper Lobe this week.

FOS (normal)
Chimney Swift (several sightings late week)
Northern Waterthrush (few sightings, first on Sunday)
Yellow Warbler (several sightings, first on Thursday)
Northern Parula (few sightings, first on Thursday)

9 warblers species in the park this week

Savannah Sparrows are appearing with regularity, especially at the Grassy Knoll.
Field and Chipping Sparrows are in decent numbers
Very few Eastern Phoebes are around
Several sightings of House Wren
Blue-Headed Vireos are now an regular sight.
Very few waterfowl on Reservoir, with just Buffelheads, Northern Shovelers, Gadwalls, and Ruddy Ducks remaining (excluding MALL and CANG).
